To encourage initiative and cooperation in young musicians, the Hayward Odd Fellows hosts an annual two-week summer workshop that brings together young string players for a chamber music experience. The Hayward Odd Fellows Youth Chamber Music Project is the brainchild of Ted Seitz and Cathy O'Connor, two Hayward music teachers, professional classical performers and Odd Fellows Members, who wanted to expand the opportunities for young musicians
Our children need our help and care to succeed. The Jenny Lin Foundation offers child safety awareness programs, music enrichment and scholarship programs to the Bay Area Communities. Our annual youth music camp runs from the third week of June through the end of July. Check out our website for details.
City of Hayward has supported YOSAC since its inception in 1985.

The Hayward La Honda Music Camp is organized to challenge students in a variety of creative pursuits and is devoted to the development of musicianship for grades 6-12. This is accomplished through a program of study, concentrated rehearsal, performance, recreation and general camp life. La Honda Music Camp will be held July 20 – 27. The camp mission is to inspire young people to achieve their best musically, to enjoy a great social/recreational experience and take home memories that will last a lifetime. So many YOSAC students have attended over the years and have had the time of their life! For information, you can contact them at: www.lahondamusiccamp.org
